Dr Joe Tighe
Consultant Psychologist, Suicide Prevention Training Facilitator, Livingworks ASIST & safeTALK Master Trainer

Dr Joe Tighe is a Senior Psychologist with international experience in the private, public and voluntary sectors. He specialises in innovation, psychological interventions, group work, and education.

Joe co-founded and managed the multiple award winning Alive & Kicking Goals! suicide prevention project in 2008, in Broome, Western Australia. Under his guidance the project received the Australian Medical Association’s leading primary healthcare award in 2014.

He completed his PhD at the University of New South Wales/Black Dog Institute in 2019. His doctoral research involved the first controlled trial of an app for suicide prevention globally.

Joe is currently contracted to run Livingworks safeTALK and ASIST suicide prevention training workshops for the Central and Eastern Sydney Primary Health Network. These workshops are provided free of charge to companies, organisations and individuals across diverse sectors from construction to healthcare and increase skills in having conversations with those at risk of suicide.

Dr Sadhbh Joyce

Sadhbh has over 19 years’ experience working in Mental Health. She has supported those struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, bereavement and workplace injury. Sadhbh is passionate about supporting those who work in service-to-others occupations. Sadhbh has specialist expertise in holistic interventions, mindfulness-based therapies and mindful self-compassion.

In 2021 Sadhbh was awarded the Australian Psychological Society Significant Contribution Award in recognition of her successful translational research. You can read more about Sadhbh’s work here.
