Dr Joe Tighe
Consultant Psychologist, Suicide Prevention Training Facilitator, Livingworks ASIST & safeTALK Master Trainer

Dr Joe Tighe is a Senior Psychologist with international experience in the private, public and voluntary sectors. He specialises in innovation, psychological interventions, group work, and education.

Joe co-founded and managed the multiple award winning Alive & Kicking Goals! suicide prevention project in 2008, in Broome, Western Australia. Under his guidance the project received the Australian Medical Association’s leading primary healthcare award in 2014.

He completed his PhD at the University of New South Wales/Black Dog Institute in 2019. His doctoral research involved the first controlled trial of an app for suicide prevention globally.

Joe is currently contracted to run Livingworks safeTALK and ASIST suicide prevention training workshops for the Central and Eastern Sydney Primary Health Network. These workshops are provided free of charge to companies, organisations and individuals across diverse sectors from construction to healthcare and increase skills in having conversations with those at risk of suicide.

Dr Peter Baldwin
Clinical Psychologist and Senior Lecturer in Psychology, Department of Psychological Sciences, Swinburne University of Technology

Dr Peter Baldwin is a Senior Lecturer in Clinical Psychology in Swinburne's Department of Psychological Sciences, as well as a conjoint Senior Research Fellow at Black Dog Institute and UNSW Sydney.

He began his career in clinical psychology at Black Dog Institute (BDI) as a postdoctoral research fellow and clinical psychology registrar, overseeing national digital mental health trials, including a NASA-led trial evaluating digital mental health care for astronauts deployed in space. He then co-led a national blended mental health care service for health professionals during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic before taking up leadership roles in BDI’s Clinical Research and Policy Research teams.

Today, he is a clinical teaching and research academic, supervising clinical psychology trainees and conducting research into the cognitive and neural mechanisms of mental illness. He is also a practicing clinical psychologist and board-approved psychology supervisor specialising in CBT, ACT, Exposure, Behavioural Activation and Family Systems Therapy for anxiety, OCD, hoarding, trauma and psychotic disorders.

Dr Sadhbh Joyce

Sadhbh is a highly experienced clinician with more than 20 years working across clinical, industrial and academic environments.

She has delivered evidence‑based psychological therapy to individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, bereavement and workplace injury. Her work is grounded in compassion, scientific rigour and a holistic approach to mental health and wellbeing.

With specialist expertise in neuropsychology, mindfulness, self‑compassion in psychotherapy and workplace mental health, Sadhbh has trained diverse groups including first responders, frontline health workers, allied health professionals, leaders, managers, educators, justice workers, lawyers and community workers.

Sadhbh’s contributions have been recognised nationally. She has received a Significant Contribution Award from the Australian Psychological Society for her translational research. Her online program, Mindarma, has been honoured with a Mental Health Matters Award from the NSW Mental Health Commission and a Resilient Australia Award from the NSW Government, and has received mental health grant support from the Victorian Government (2022) and the Government of South Australia (2023–2025).
